I believe there is truth.
There is truth that is true for me.
Truth about who I am and who I will be.
Your truth is too, a truth for you
It's a truth that for you also is true.
Can we who are true
to ourselves still be true
to each other and still be free?
Does your truth truly bind me
to only become the version of me
that is what you want me to be?
That cannot be, yet not can I prove
that my truth will better me still
And some of your truth
may bring out much more
Than my truth alone ever will
